Thank you Jesus! You are the reason for this season

Beautiful!!

As a part of our Christmas Cantata services, our congregation along with Sylvia Swirksy's People Encouraging People (PEPProject) will be giving a special Christmas service and outreach to teen/single moms this Sunday 23rd. This will be to kickoff our Hagar's House Outreach to single parents and their kids. Hagar’s House will provide support to young single moms with children 6 years and older ranging from homework help, kids yoga, parenting topics to personal enrichment and development. Our plan is to start our outreach in January 2019.

Sunday Worship starts at 11:00 a.m. and dinner/visit with Santa/outreach at 1:10 p.m.

We also want to give a special shout-out to Pem Hessing and the OPP Women of Color for their incredible support with regard to supplying "chicken money" and food to create Christmas baskets for the families.

Currently, 13 families and their children are scheduled to attend this Sunday. If you can stop by for the service and/or hot dinner, please join us. Your presence as a community’s presence will add lots of positive energy to Hagar’s House and the moms. We hope to keep it up and running by the participation of individuals in the community. It will be a celebration!

If you are coming let us know so we can make sure we have enough food. Please IM me or text Sylvia Swirsky at 773-484-0371

Come and celebrate with us the true meaning of Christmas, by providing support to these moms and their families to show them that they are not alone to make it through the parenting journey. Remember Mary started her journey as a "single mom."

Hope to see you on Sunday (or raincheck for 2019 Christmas service! 😉)
